What about being able to pass parameters to scripts dynamically, like a
function call?

One of the problems with the layout and systems-on-a-page and
measures-on-a-system is that the different kinds of info is linked very
weak. There is no "ownership" here (a page doesn't own its systems, and the
system doesn't own its measures). The relationship is all done by Finale's
layout calculation, and then the programmer have to scan for the
relationships.

I'll see if I can simplify some of it.

Btw, the way scripts are set up in groups will be expanded in the future,
and that enhancement will affect group scripts as well.

Right now in JW Lua, a script is "static" and it behaves very much like a
plug-in. In the future, the user will be able to set parameters for the
script (when the script is set up in the Manager). That way, the user can
have multiple instances of the script available in the Explorer, all with
different parameters.

That addition will make it possible to make group scripts that behaves
almost identical to "Actions" in Photoshop.
