[JW Lua] Open external file

Hi all,

first of all thanks to Jari for building this incredible tool! It's a 
dream come true for many of us who like composing with logical premises.

My question is about opening and reading and external file. (I have many 
lists of chords coming from a Mathematica program).
I think I could use io.open(filename, 'r') to open a file, but since I 
don't know the working directory, I am stuck with "No such file or 
directory 2" messages.

I tried io.popen('ls -a') to no avail...

Any help greatly appreciated!
