[JW Lua] UTF8 in pop-up dialog elements not working on Windows (but on MacOS)

Hi,

happy new year to everyone!

I am working on some translations of the Perfect Layout user interface 
and noticed that pop-up dialog elements on Windows seem to not work in 
JW Lua for UTF8 characters, while the same code works fine on MacOS.
Has anybody had the same experience or found a solution?
