That's interesting. One of the reasons we did not adopt Dorico at its
inception was the apparently weak support for automation. I had rather
assumed things had improved since then.

That's because there is no documentation (at least no official
documentation, as far as I know) and there probably never will be, because
what I've been told is that Dorico's plans are to discontinue Lua in favor
of of QML.

That is correct. Lua is only used as a macro language. With QML, more
complete access should be possible, but that does not seem to be high on the
priority list.
