<pre>One of the many spacing/collision problems in Finale is having hairpins on
single notes which look very squeezed in layout, as there is no option
in music spacing for "Minimum distance between single notes with hairpins".
If you look at the attached screenshot, the "before"-example is what I mean.
But there is an spacingh option "Minimum distance between notes with ties".
An idea to solve this issue would be to make use of the "minimum tie distance"
and create an "invisible" tie that is used for better hairpin spacing
(see "after" in the screenshot). The tie is placed directly on the notehead,
so it is not visible, but music spacing recognizes it as a tie and uses
a wider spacing for the hairpin.
A tie would affect playback, but it is unlikely to have the same pitch
after a decrescendo/crescendo and, of course, the tie could be removed
for final playback (with "Clear selected items->Tie alterations").
Jari, could you implement the rarely used FCStartTieMods/FCEndTieMods/FCTieMods
for this feature ?
