I would add:

poco a poco (with various combinations: cresc., allarg., accel. etc.)
or "poco" "a" "poco" (with dashed lines between each "element")
calando

Hello all!
I'm doing some work on the "JW Change" plug-in right now, slowly aiming
towards a version 1.00 release.
There's a container in JW Change called "Smart Shape Lines", which is used
to edit smart shapes that aren't hairpins or slurs. As part of the filters
for the tasks in this container, there are filters for "dynamics" and
"tempo" custom smart shapes.
My question to you is which words you use for custom smart shapes for
dynamics/tempo changes?
The lists I have so far:
DYNAMICS:
crescendo
cresc.
diminuendo
dim.
decrescendo
decresc.
TEMPO:
accel.
accelerando
stringendo
string.
rit.
ritardando
rall.
rallentando
allargando
(The plug-in looks at the start text for the smart shape, so "rit."
would cover both "rit. ------" and "rit. -------- al", for example.)
Do you have any more words to add to these lists?
Best regards,
Jari Williamsson

These probably don't fall into either category, but they go over the staff:
swing
swing 8ths
swing 16ths
even
even 8ths
even 16ths
and there is one more smart shape we use a lot in jazz that often requires
special positioning over the staff, but is neither dynamic nor a tempo:
fill
Is the plugin going to edit the text, the positioning, the horizontal
status, the "hook" at the end, or everything? There is a particular issue
with the above lines, in that they all have to be manually positioned to
avoid notes, stems, slurs and articulations. In the case of the "fill" smart
line, it often happens over a measure of drum slashes that have an (8) above
the measure and the two collide.

Would you consider "tacet 1.x" (or 2.x etc) within the dynamics category?
That surely would be useful.

Old men get greedy and demanding now:
I agree with Skjalg, but would like options for various language variants.
English would not use the same terms as Norwegian, Swedish, or Danish, not
to speak of German or Italian.
AND, if that indication of which time to play which line or not could be
related to actual playback, then that would be a bonus.?

Hello all!
I'm doing some work on the "JW Change" plug-in right now, slowly aiming
towards a version 1.00 release.
There's a container in JW Change called "Smart Shape Lines", which is used

"tempo" custom smart shapes.
My question to you is which words you use for custom smart shapes for

The lists I have so far:
DYNAMICS:
crescendo
cresc.
diminuendo
dim.
decrescendo
decresc.
TEMPO:
accel.
accelerando
stringendo
string.
rit.
ritardando
rall.
rallentando
allargando
(The plug-in looks at the start text for the smart shape, so "rit."
would cover both "rit. ------" and "rit. -------- al", for example.)
Do you have any more words to add to these lists?
Best regards,
Jari Williamsson

Pi? and meno mosso
also I presume that it will pick up the things whether they have piu, meno
or molto in them?
I also use sul pont. and sul tasto, plus Sul G or IV etc. as smart lines if
that's relevant. Saves the ord. or norm. marking and I find it a bit
clearer.
