[JW Lua] FCBeamMod: how to set left/right horizontal offset -> only vertical works fine

Jari et al.,

has anybody had success in changing the horizontal offset of beams?
The following script doesn't do anything, but I would have expected the 
primary beam to become longer.
If I change Horizontal to Vertical (i.e. -> 
SetRightVerticalOffset/SetLeftVerticalOffset), the script works fine.

for e in eachentrysaved(finenv.Region()) do
     local beammod=finale.FCBeamMod(false)
     beammod:SetNoteEntry(e)
     if beammod:LoadFirst() then
         beammod:SetRightHorizontalOffset(64)
         beammod:SetLeftHorizontalOffset(64)
         beammod:Save()
     else
         beammod:SetBeamNumber(1)
         beammod:SetDefaultMode()
         beammod:SetRightHorizontalOffset(64)
         beammod:SetLeftHorizontalOffset(64)
         beammod:SaveNew()
     end
end
