[JWplugins] Memory leak tests

Hi, lado,

We are in the same time zone, I am situated in Vienna, Austria :-)

I guess there is a small misunderstanding going on - I addressed my question to Jari, since he is a developer making me hope to bring some new infos... :-)

As for Sibelius: as far as support goes, I often spoke to Mr Spreadbury himself, who way always very kind and quick in responding, but now, since AVID kicked out the developer team, Sibelius is a no-go or me. That's just not the way to treat good developers. As you probably know, Steinberg hired the former Sibelius development crew, and even though there aren't any news out yet as what is to be expected, I certainly hope there will be a great third competitor out there on the notation market soon.

As for Finale: I hope they really clean up their old code, get into refactoring, support 64bit and find a better way for the interface handling. A magnetic layout function would be great, even though I think that it should keep more flexibility than the Sibelius solution, which I am not too happy with (because it's an either-or solution).

A really good tip here on this list was actually the Keyboard Maestro hint by Jari in response to the remarks of somebody else. Maybe you are on a PC, then you'll most likely find a pendant, but Keyboard Maestro really speeds up the workflow immensely by being able to configure own keyboard shortcuts. And it is so damn easy! I really wonder why Finale hasn't integrated a (better) keyboard mapping function yet, since it can be considered as a must-have-feature of any program out there. Well, as I said: I hope Finale is keeping up with general programming evolutions and the like.

Sorry, Jari, for misusing your list here a bit, hope it is ok this time! Your message about keeping up with Finale's new version sounds awysome! Again a big +1 and a 2 thumbs up! :-)

Again: I wish you all a good day and a nice weekend!
Robert

The moment you nudge an element, otherelements might move too. So MLO "looks" where to put things, making sure the scoreor part looks okay and is printable right away without any twitching or tweaking.
